Services

Our services.

Full commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems is our core practice. The services below are the studies and site roles mission critical projects require, delivered by the same engineering team without engaging an additional firm.

Other 2N services.

Each of these may be engaged independently, or included within a commissioning scope.

01

Design

Tailored solutions for high-availability environments, addressing power, cooling, redundancy and scalability from topology selection through construction documents.

Power, lighting and grounding design across Tier II, III and IV topologies.

Comprehensive design services for data centers and mission critical facilities, addressing power, cooling, redundancy and scalability.

02

QA / QC

An independent review of materials, systems and workmanship while the work is still accessible and correctable.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control during construction, ensuring materials, systems and workmanship meet the specified standards, codes and design requirements.

03

Owner's Representative

A single party accountable to the owner, present on site and representing the owner’s interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Acting as the owner's eyes and ears on the job site, representing their interests throughout the project lifecycle.

04

Thermal Imaging

Infrared inspection performed under load identifies overloaded circuits, loose connections and equipment hotspots before they result in a failure.

Infrared scanning tailored for data centers and mission critical facilities, identifying overloaded circuits, loose connections and equipment hotspots.

05

Short Circuit Coordination Study

Establishes the available fault current throughout the system and confirms that equipment is rated to interrupt it safely.

Performed in house by our electrical engineering principal.

Short circuit coordination studies to ensure electrical system safety and reliability in data centers and mission critical facilities.

06

Breaker Coordination Studies

Confirms selective coordination, so that a fault is cleared by the nearest upstream device and service to unaffected areas is maintained.

Breaker coordination studies for reliable and selective protection of electrical systems.

07

CFD Modeling

Models airflow, temperature distribution and cooling performance, including failure scenarios, before the space is built.

Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling to optimise airflow, temperature distribution and cooling efficiency.

Standards

Standards we work to.

The governing documents this work is held to, and the standards owner specifications commonly reference.

ASHRAE Guideline 0The Commissioning Process
Describes the commissioning process capable of verifying that a facility and its systems meet the Owner's Project Requirements. Current edition 0-2019.
ANSI/NETA ECSElectrical Commissioning Specifications
The systematic process of documenting and placing newly installed or retrofitted electrical power equipment into service. The 2024 edition added source-specific sections for UPS and automatic transfer switches.
ANSI/NETA ATSAcceptance Testing Specifications
Component-level acceptance testing, used alongside ECS. The 2025 edition added battery energy storage and solar photovoltaic sections.
Uptime InstituteTier Certification of Constructed Facility
Where an owner pursues Tier certification, commissioning evidence is what the constructed facility is assessed against.

Tell us the systems and the schedule, and we will define the scope.
